Between trying to master Photoshop Elements 6 and working in the yard, I have pieced together the top of a new baby quilt. (Trying to stock pile future baby gifts.)
I love the primary colors of red, yellow and blue. And as usual, I had a plan in mind of how I wanted the top to look but somehow in the process, it turned out completely different. That is what is so nice about quilting. If the plan doesn't work, then call it a patchwork quilt. I think with this quilt I am going to hand quilt the top. It isn't a large quilt and I enjoyed hand quilting the last table top I made.
Boy, have I got "wishing it was summer" blues. I think I have 3 more weeks before school is out. Yippee!!! This past weekend contributed to my "blues". I did a little of this:
Also, my husband and I visited my youngest brother and his family in Montreat, NC on Sunday. Our nephew is graduating from high school and was part of the service at church. The service was wonderful and the weather was gorgeous.
We ate at one of my favorite eateries in Black Mountain:
Enjoyed the flowers:
and took a few family shots:

Wow! Mastering Photoshop 6! I've heard college courses are made to learn it. I've got P3 and there's no way I'll ever master that.
But it's always good to exercise the little grey cells of the brain, so good luck.
Love the baby quilt. So bright and pretty any baby would love staring at that!
My mother-n-law lives in Black Mountain! Actually you probably drove right past her house on the way to Montreat. I love to look at the houses in that area-and the yard sales are awesome!
Your quilt is very cute! I have a friend who lives in Montreat and she says it is beautiful. We haven't made it up there yet to visit with her.
we don't liver terribly far from here.
Ah, memories... I went to college in Due West and have find memories of strawberry picking there. They look good.
Love your quilt!
your quilt is darling!
