Slowly....step by step...it is coming together!
It started back in October. We tugged and tugged and finally removed the woodstove.
Then in November, added gas logs. We were warm and cozy all winter.
Finally over spring break, we painted and painted and, I must say, was very pleased with the outcome.
Isn't it amazing what a little dab of paint can do to a room? I have not hung my new quilted wall hanging over the fireplace yet. As my husband said, "That sure is a large area of white."
Next step - pull up the carpet and possibly have the floors refinished.

Wow, that looks great! The paint really changes the whole room. We don't have anything over our fireplace yet either. A friend is going to paint a picture for me but she hasn't gotten to it yet. It's hard to wait. :)
I wish I had a fireplace. Yours really looks great. The paint makes it stand out so nice!
Wowie! That is beautiful! Good work.
Just beautiful! But I bet it took more than a dab of paint to cover that fireplace. :) I am really looking forward to seeing the quilt up there, too.
That mustard color on your walls is one of my very favorites. I have something similar in my sunroom and it is such a happy, warm color. Very nice work!
