Busy Busy Busy......

Thanks to Lainie at While You Were Sleeping for the surprise in the mail today. I came in second place (by a minute) to a contest question on her blog. She was so kind as to send me this personalized clipboard. It is hard to see my name on it in this photo. It is too cute! Some people are so creative. I never would have thought to decorate a clipboard. I was in Lobby Hobby/Hobby Lobby (never can remember the name of that store) today and wishing I had some of you gals with me to help my creative juices flow. I still managed to walk out of there with plenty....yarn and cloth.

It has been a productive weekend. I finished two purses, (photos below) one dishcloth, started a bag that I will felt (Lucy bag), baked 4 loaves of bread (yum), made peach enchiladas (great dessert using fresh peaches), and packed up a box of goodies for my son and his girlfriend in Philly. He started his emergency medicine residency last week. She is doing an ObGyn residency in Philly but in a different hospital. I am waiting to hear about some drama from the ER. She has already delivered two new little ones into this world.
Leaves Purse
I need to add a button on the this green leaves bag.

Black White and Red Purse
I really enjoyed making this patchwork quilted bag. I bought some pastel material in pink, yellow and green today to make another one of these.

July's Spectrum Project color is purple.
I love some shades of purple particularly the lighter shades. Funny though, when I look for purple in my house...it is hard to find. I did find a couple examples in the yard. Wonder if I should find some purple yarn to knit something????

You have been so busy.Look forward to seeing the Lucy bag. It is so hot and draining here at the moment. we don't have the luxury of air conditioning.
