I love contests...don't you? Here is a chance to win a Phillips Digital Frame. Hostess for the contest is Five Minutes for Mom. Drop in and enter...you never know....you just might win!
I recently participated in a stitchmarkers swap. These are the ones I made and sent to my partners. When I get a chance I'll show what I received. This was a nice swap. I was very pleased with what I sent and what I received.
Can't end this entry without showing another little hat for some little fellow - Can I hear a "isn't that cute?"

Another one!
Here is another cute Itty Bitty Hat that I just completed....
This one is titled Rosebud. The rosebuds was supposed to be all around the brim of the hat but I was impatient and didn't want to take the time to knit the 20+ buds the pattern called for.

Looks can Be Deceiving
I have read various blogs commenting on how cold it has been over Easter weekend. I am here to tell you that those comments are absolutely true. Who would have thought looking at these pictures taken on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Atlanta Braves game, on a bright sunny day that we were sooooo cold!!!
It was more like football weather than baseball weather. Brrrrr! Oh, in case you are a Braves fan, Smolz and Glavine pitched against each other. And the Braves won! Yippee! For those who aren't fans, Glavine used to pitched for the Braves but now pitches for the Mets. I love going to the Braves game - just me and my hubby - eating Georgia dogs (hot dogs with chili, slaw, and onion relish yum! yum!) between the shivers of 40 degree temperatures. Wasn't able to make it to a single game last summer. Hopefully, if we make it to another game this summer, it will feel more like summer. Hey, Teresa, I thought about you as we drove through your town on Hwy 72 going to Atlanta and back home. Beth, I thought about you, too. I don't have a clue where you live in the metro Atlanta area, but I know it is somewhere around.
Now I ask you - Is this not the cutest little hat? It is called the Upside Down Daisy from Itty Bitty Hats by Susan Anderson.
I finished it while riding to Atlanta Saturday. I am so excited with how it turned out. Think I'll started another one of the hats in the book tonight.

Spring Bag Finished
I finished my new spring bag and I love it. Love the colors in the material. Love the size and the shape. It is wider at the bottom than at the top. Sorry for the poor quality of light in the photo. I am not a photographer. It is obvious, isn't it?
My new project is a baby hat from Itty Bitty Hats by Susan Anderson. Don't ask me why I want to knit some of these precious hats. I don't have any grandchildren but they are so cute. I can't resist. I tell myself that I am practicing for that day when I just might be a grandmother.

Yellow Slime..It's Everywhere!
If you have ever lived or visited in the south during this time of the year, then you know what this yellow goo is which forms after a rain....
It has been exceptionally thick this year. One day last week, it was a little breezy. A yellow haze blew through the parking lot at school. It has been tracked into the house and it is all over my new car. (About two weeks ago, I purchased a Toyota Camry Hybrid....love it, love it, love it!!!! Averaging around 36 to 40 miles per gallon) Thankfully it rained yesterday which helped clear the air of this yellow nusiance. Have you guess what it is yet? Yeap....good ole pollen. But if it wasn't for the pollen, we would not be able to enjoy the flowers this spring. The dogwoods and wisteria seem to be more brilliant this year.
Friday I had a nice surprise in the mail. If you have not visited MaryAnn's blog, you need to. She must be one of the most generous and thoughtful bloggers out there in cyberspace. This is what she sent me just for commenting on her blog:
Aren't they cute? Thank you, MaryAnn. So kind of you!!!!
So what have I been up too lately in the crafting department???? Last night I started a new spring purse. Here is a sneak peak of some of the fabrics I am using:
I love the spring colors and flowers in these fabrics. I hope to finish it tonight.
